Periods Shouldn’t Pause Education: Inside Our Menstrual Health Campaign

Confidence for young girls is priceless
In many rural parts of Kenya, menstruation is a silent crisis. Girls often stay home from school, feel ashamed, and are at risk of dropping out entirely. At Nyarsango Schulprojekt, we decided to change that.
Our Menstrual Health Support project distributes sanitary towels and hosts open, respectful discussions about menstrual health. We teach not only hygiene management but also confidence, self-respect, and reproductive education.
During our most recent campaign, we reached over 150 girls across three schools. Each received a dignity pack—sanitary towels, soap, underwear, and educational materials. The sessions were interactive, filled with laughter, questions, and genuine connection.
One girl, Akinyi, told us, “I feel proud of who I am as a girl now. I no longer feel like hiding during my period.”
Education and menstrual dignity go hand in hand. When you support this project, you’re not just donating products—you’re restoring confidence and ensuring girls can pursue their dreams without interruption.
